• G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for
Coal and Mines, Government of India,
said, "India's mining sector reforms
over the past decade, moving to a trans-
parent, auction-based system for allo-
cating coal and mineral blocks, have
helped bring greater investment, com-
petition and technology into this space,
and ICEMA and its member companies
have been valuable partners in this
journey. The next phase of growth in
mining will be driven by technology,
artificial intelligence, drones, satellite
mapping and modern, mechanised equ-
uipment, and I see this as a significant
opportunity for ICEMA and the entire
construction and mining equipment
industry to deepen its role in India's
mining growth story."
India continues to be the world's third-
largest construction equipment market,
with the sector estimated at USD 10
billion in FY25 and projected to grow to
USD 15 billion by 2030. While the
industry saw a temporary moderation in
FY26 with total equipment sales at
1,36,995 units, a ~2% decline over
FY25, driven by a ~7% dip in domestic
demand amid slower infrastructure
execution exports registered a robust
~32% growth over the same period,
reinforcing the rising global competi-
tiveness of Indian manufactured con-
struction equipment. ICEMA projects
the industry to return to growth in
FY27, supported by the Government's
continued capex push, including a pub-
lic capex outlay of ₹12.2 lakh crore,
faster project execution, and the roll-out
of the CIE Scheme.
The deliberations at the one-day event
concluded that the construction equip-
ment (CE) industry continues to play a
critical role in building the backbone of
India’s economy, with the economic
multiplier effect of infrastructure spend-
ing contributing to strong Q1 FY’27
GDP growth of 7.8%. The proposed
Construction Infrastructure Equipment
(CIE) Scheme is expected to play an
important role in attracting investment,
deepening localisation, and strengthen-
ing India’s capital goods and construc-
tion equipment manufacturing ecosys-
tem. Discussions also highlighted in-
dustry and policy perspectives on trade,
tariffs, and market access, particularly
in the context of the CE industry’s
Vision 2030 target of achieving US$3
billion in exports. Mineral security,
mechanisation, and the need to further
strengthen the domestic mining equip-
ment ecosystem through greater locali-
sation also emerged as key priorities.
ICEMA reiterated its commitment to
working in close partnership with the
Government and its member companies
to strengthen the Construction Equip-
ment industry's contribution to India's
infrastructure-led growth, manufactur-
ing self-reliance and global competi-
tiveness positioning the sector as a crit-
ical enabler of the country's ambition to
become a trillion-dollar manufacturing
economy and a Viksit Bharat by 2047. I

“bauma CONEXPO INDIA gives us strong
view of the technologies, equipment and
solutions”
Mr. Rishab Shah
Business Development Manager
ACE VENTURA TYRES & TRACKS LLP
The construction and infrastructure
industry is evolving rapidly, with
equipment manufacturers and users
placing greater emphasis on produc-
tivity, reliability, safety and operating
efficiency. As machines become more
sophisticated and projects demand
higher utilisation, the supporting com-
ponents must evolve alongside them.
At Ace Ventura Tyres & Tracks, we
see tyres and tracks as an important
part of this evolution. They are not
simply replacement components; the
right solution can influence equipment
availability, operating efficiency, ma-
chine performance and overall cost of
ownership.
This makes bauma CONEXPO India
2026 particularly significant for us.
We expect the exhibition to provide a
strong view of the technologies,equip-
ment and solutions that will shape the
next phase of construction and materi-
al handling in India. More important-
ly, it will be an opportunity to under-
stand changing customer requirements
and how the industry is responding to
them.
One of the key trends we expect to see
is the growing importance of applica-
tion-specific solutions. Different ma-
chines operate under different loads,
surfaces, duty cycles and utilisation
patterns, and tyre and track selection
needs to reflect these differences. This
is where our experience becomes
relevant. Through the ACETRAX®
range, we focus on providing solutions
developed around the requirements of
specific equipment and applications.
Our portfolio reflects the diverse
needs of equipment owners. In materi-
al handling, ACETRAX® Solid Fork-
lift Tyres and Press-on Band Tyres
cater to equipment operating in ware-
houses, factories, logistics facilities
and other demanding industrial envi-
ronments. The focus is on dependable
performance and helping operators
maintain equipment availability.
For aerial work platforms, ACE-
TRAX® Scissor Lift Tyres and
Foam-Filled Boom Lift Tyre & Wheel
Assemblies address the requirements
of equipment that is increasingly
used across
construction,
mainte-
nance, warehousing and infrastruc-
ture projects. For rental companies in
particular, reliable replacement solu-
tions and quick turnaround are import-
ant to keeping fleets productive.
In construction and industrial applica-
tions, ACETRAX® Solid and Pneu-
matic Skid Steer Tyres provide options
suited to different operating condi-
tions and equipment requirements.
Our Foam-Filled Tyre & Wheel As-
semblies are aimed at applications
where puncture-related downtime can
significantly affect machine utilisa-
tion.
We also see growing demand for
solutions that improve machine versa-
tility.
ACETRAX®
Over-the-Tire
(OTT) Tracks enable skid steer
loaders to operate more effectively
across challenging surfaces and appli-
cations where conventional tyres may
have limitations. This is particularly
relevant as contractors increasingly
expect compact equipment to perform
across a wider range of site condi-
tions.
Alongside tyres, our ACETRAX®
Rubber Tracks support equipment
where track-based mobility is re-
quired, including construction and
compact equipment applications. To-
gether, our tyre and track portfolio
allows us to address a broader range of
equipment requirements rather than
focusing on a single product category.
This breadth is increasingly important
because equipment owners today are
looking beyond the initial cost of a
component. They are evaluating up-
time, service life, maintenance req-
uirements, replacement time and the
overall value delivered by their equip-
ment. For rental companies and fleet
operators, where machine utilisation
directly impacts revenue, these con-
siderations become even more import-
ant.
We therefore expect uptime, durabili-
ty, total cost of ownership and
QUOTE
application suitability to remain key
themes at bauma CONEXPO India
2026. Another area we will be watch-
ing closely is the continued develop-
ment of India's construction equip-
ment and rental ecosystem. Increasing
infrastructure activity, expanding ren-
tal fleets and greater mechanisation
are creating demand for dependable
replacement
components.
In
this
environment, product availability, tec-
hnical understanding and responsive
support are becoming important dif-
ferentiators alongside product quality.
This is where Ace Ventura has built its
approach around the needs of the
market. We combine an expanding
ACETRAX® portfolio with ready-to-
fit solutions, inventory availability
and technical support.
We also see bauma CONEXPO India
as more than an exhibition. It is a
platform where OEMs, component
manufacturers, distributors, contrac-
tors, rental companies and technology
providers can interact directly. These
conversations provide valuable
in-
sights into emerging equipment tech-
nologies, changing customer expecta-
tions and opportunities for collabora-
tion.
For us, bauma CONEXPO India 2026
is therefore an opportunity to show-
case what we have to offer, but equally
to listen, learn and engage with the
industry. We believe that combining
product innovation with application
knowledge, market understanding and
responsive customer support will be
essential to driving the next phase of
equipment performance, and creating
sustainable business growth. I

India’s construction and infrastruc-
ture sector is entering a period of
significant opportunity. Large-scale
investments in roads, urban infrastruc-
ture, mining, logistics and industrial
development are increasing the scale
and intensity of equipment deploy-
ment. At the same time, construction
equipment is becoming more capable,
technology-enabled and specialised,
creating new opportunities across the
wider construction ecosystem.
Bauma CONEXPO 2026 provides an
important platform for the industry to
showcase new solutions, exchange
perspectives and engage on the oppor-
tunities shaping the future of construc-
tion.
Moving from Equipment Capacity
to Equipment Performance
As
construction
projects
become
larger and operating cycles more
intensive, productivity is increasingly
being assessed through the perfor-
mance of the broader equipment eco-
system. Equipment owners are consid-
ering factors such as uptime, operating
efficiency, maintenance requirements,
service life and lifecycle economics
alongside initial acquisition costs.
This is also creating a more strategic
role for components such as tyres. In
demanding construction and mining
applications, tyre performance can
influence equipment availability, op-
erating efficiency and overall project
continuity. As a result, product devel-
opment is increasingly centred on
understanding the specific machine,
terrain, load and operating environ-
ment.
For tyre manufacturers, this creates an
opportunity to contribute more closely
to equipment performance through
application-focused engineering, ap-
propriate material selection and tech-
nologies designed around specific
operating requirements.
Engineering for More Demanding
Applications
The evolution of construction and
mining equipment is creating new op-
portunities for tyre technology. Higher
payloads, longer operating cycles and
increasingly demanding terrains re-
quire an appropriate balance between
durability, traction, heat management,
rolling resistance and service life.
At BKT, the approach is centred on the
principle of offering the right tyre for
the right application. This requires an
understanding of the equipment, ter-
rain and operating conditions, sup-
ported by close collaboration with
OEM partners and continued invest-
ment in R&D, testing, simulation and
material science.
The continued transition from conven-
tional bias-ply tyres towards advanced
radial construction reflects this evolu-
tion. Radial technology can provide
lower rolling resistance, improved
fuel efficiency, longer tread life and
enhanced heat dissipation, making it
increasingly relevant to modern con-
struction and infrastructure applica-
tions.
This approach will be reflected at
Bauma ConExpo 2026, where BKT
will showcase advanced Off-Highway
Tyre solutions at Hall 12, Booth No. 1.
The display will feature a broad
portfolio developed for construction,
mining, earthmoving, material han-
dling and industrial applications,
including solutions designed for heavy
loads, demanding environments and
intensive duty cycles. The showcase
will demonstrate BKT’s focus on
combining engineering expertise with
application-specific product develop-
ment.
Technology as an Enabler of Better
Engineering
Technology is becoming an increas-
ingly important enabler of progress in
construction, spanning equipment au-
tomation,
digital
monitoring,
ad-
vanced manufacturing and engineer-
ing simulation.
In tyre development, advanced simu-
lation and testing enable manufactur-
ers to evaluate product performance

across a wider range of conditions and
strengthen the validation process.
When combined with real-world op-
erating insights, these capabilities al-
low engineering teams to refine prod-
ucts more efficiently and develop
solutions aligned with specific appli-
cation requirements.
Digital capabilities are also enhancing
manufacturing processes. Automation,
real-time monitoring and data-driven
systems can support greater consisten-
cy, visibility and responsiveness ac-
ross operations. The opportunity lies
in connecting these capabilities. When
engineering, testing, manufacturing
and digital technologies work togeth-
er, they can create a more informed
and responsive product-development
process.
Manufacturing Resilience as an En-
abler of Growth
A strong manufacturing ecosystem is
an important foundation for the con-
struction industry’s growth. As de-
mand becomes more diverse and prod-
uct requirements evolve, capabilities
that provide quality consistency, sup-
ply reliability and greater control over
critical inputs become increasingly
valuable.
At BKT, the Bhuj manufacturing
ecosystem brings together tyre pro-
duction, carbon black, power, R&D
and testing capabilities. In-house car-
bon black production provides greater
control over a critical raw material,
while mould and drum manufacturing
capabilities strengthen the company’s
control across the production process.
The value of this ecosystem extends
beyond manufacturing efficiency. It
leads to closer coordination between
material development, engineering,
production and validation supports
consistency and enables BKT to
respond effectively to changing appli-
cation requirements. It also provides a
strong foundation for continued inno-
vation and specialised product devel-
opment.
Sustainability as Part of Long-Term
Performance
Sustainability is increasingly becom-
ing part of engineering and manufac-
turing decision-making. BKT has been
increasing the use of renewable raw
materials, recycling more than 98% of
process waste and operating itsinte-
grated carbon black facility at Bhuj as
a zero-liquid-discharge plant. Initia-
tives involving reclaimed rubber,
recycled steel and reused feedstock
further support circularity across the
manufacturing ecosystem.
These efforts demonstrate how envi-
ronmental
considerations
can
be
incorporated alongside operational
priorities. The efficient resource utili-
sation,
responsible
manufacturing
processes and longer product life can
contribute to both environmental per-
formance
and
stronger
lifecycle
economics.
Collaboration Will Shape the Fu-
ture
The next phase of construction will
require closer collaboration across the
ecosystem. OEMs, tyre manufactur-
ers, technology providers, equipment
operators and other stakeholders each
bring capabilities and insights that can
contribute to better equipment perfor-
mance.
Early engagement with OEMs enables
tyre manufacturers to understand equ-
ipment architecture, operating cycles
and application requirements at an
earlier stage, supporting solutions that
are more closely aligned with the
machinery they are designed for. Tech-
nical expertise also remains important
in ensuring that products are appropri-
ately selected, fitted and maintained
throughout their operating life.
Bauma CONEXPO 2026 provides a
valuable setting for this exchange. For
BKT, the exhibition represents an
opportunity not only to showcase
advanced Off-Highway Tyre solu-
tions, but also to engage with custom-
ers, OEMs and industry stakeholders
on the evolving requirements of
construction and mining equipment.
As India’s infrastructure ambitions
continue to expand, the construction
industry will require solutions that
combine productivity, reliability, effi-
ciency and sustainability. The next
generation of construction will be
shaped by the convergence of engi-
neering, technology, manufacturing
and collaboration, and by how effec-
tively these capabilities translate into
better-performing equipment and gre-
ater value across the equipment lifecy-
cle.

with extreme uncertainty and insecuri-
ty about the future, there is a growing
recognition of the importance of ESG
(Environmental, Social, and Gover-
nance) principles for sustainable gro-
wth and as a crucial aspect of corpo-
rate management. Climate change has
led to global environmental challenges
like droughts and heavy rainfall,
prompting countries and businesses
worldwide to collaborate in address-
ing these development issues. GS Cal-
tex had set up a dedicated organisation
in 2021 to actively respond to climate
issues. As concerned participants, we
are working on several projects to
develop a roadmap to achieve carbon
neutrality, including finding ways to
reduce greenhouse gases with a long-
term perspective and uncovering busi-
ness opportunities to secure a new
profit pool.
Since 2020, Kixx Lubricants has been
striving to create a more sustainable
future by developing lubricants spe-
cifically designed for eco-friendly
electric
vehicles
and
plant-based
engine oils. Recognising the shifting
preferences of our esteemed OEM
customers, many of whom are transi-
tioning to eco-friendly synthetic lubri-
cants, GS Caltex has embraced inno-
vations in the market. For instance,
Kixx BIO1, a fully synthetic engine
oil produced from plant-based base
oil, caters to environmentally con-
scious drivers seeking performance
and environmental protection. These
new lubricants are part of a carbon-ne-
gative, sustainable base oil category.
Furthermore, efforts to support a circ-
ular economy drive the adoption of
recycled base oil, which can be reused
in specific applications.
Due to stricter emissions norms
setting in, off highway equipment
industry is witnessing fast paced
technology changes as far as Lubri-
cants specifications are concerned.
Increased use of DPF in vehicles has
become common now. The trend in
off-highway equipment lubrication is
shifting towards the increased use of
lower SAPS lubricants as we see a
higher proportion of DPF fitment on
new Stage V equipment which needs
adequate protection. By restricting ash
buildup in DPFs, lower SAPS lubri-
cants can act as catalyst to reduce
unplanned maintenance costs, down-
time and any risk during warranty
period. GS Caltex is partnering with
OEMs in developing High Perfor-
mance Kixx Lubricants in FA4, and
other advanced categories for Indian
market. GS Caltex also has made
consistent R&D efforts to develop
eco-friendly lubricant products that
can maintain engine oil performance.
As a result, hybrid-specific Kixx
HYBRID engine oil was launched in
2020, EV-specific Kixx EV engine oil
was launched in 2021, and ‘Kixx
BIO1’, Korea’s first eco-friendly
engine oil made from plant-based raw
materials, was launched in 2022.
GS Caltex India intends to maintain
the momentum by partnering with off
highway OEMs. Several key initia-
tives are also in pipeline for strength-
ening our Eco-friendly Lubricants
Portfolio across the globe. Manufac-
turers are also focussing on sustain-
ability measures such as recycling and
reuse of industrial lubricants to reduce
carbon footprint. With EPR regime
which has set in from 1st April 2024
for use of recycled plastics and
RRBO, we have fully equipped our-
selves to bring in more value towards
such compliance and there by contrib-
uting to the circularity mission. Lubri-
cant manufacturers also have started
providing onsite and offsite lubricant
recycling equipment and services to
their customers. With the use of
specialty additives and synthetic base
oils, companies are formulating indus-

“bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 :Building
the Future Together”
Mr. Satin Sachdeva
Managing Director E Value,
Managing Director & CEO , Equipment Planet
Founder & Secretary General,
Construction Equipment Rental Association CERA
India’s construction and infrastruc-
ture sector is going through a signifi-
cant transformation. With continued
investments in highways, express-
ways, urban infrastructure, airports,
industrial corridors and other major
projects, the demand for efficient,
reliable and technologically advanced
construction equipment is increasing
rapidly.
In this environment, bauma CONEX-
PO INDIA 2026 comes at a very
important time. For me, the exhibition
is not merely a platform to display
machines it is an opportunity for the
entire industry to understand where
construction equipment is heading and
how we can collectively build a more
productive, efficient and sustainable
ecosystem.
Expectations from bauma CONEX-
PO INDIA 2026
My biggest expectation is to see
innovation that delivers measurable
productivity and profitability. The
industry is moving beyond simply
asking, “What is the machine?” The
more important questions today are
:What is its productivity? What is its
operating cost? How reliable is it?
What is its uptime? How easily can it
be serviced? And what value will it
retain over its lifecycle?
I would particularly like to see
greater adoption of connected and in-
telligent equipment telematics, re-
mote monitoring, predictive mainte-
nance, machine control systems, oper-
ator assistance technologies and data
driven fleet management. Technology
should ultimately help equipmentown-
ers increase utilisation, reduce down-
time and make better business deci-
sions.
Sustainability will be another import-
ant area. Electric and hybrid equip-
ment, alternative fuels, improved emi-
ssion technologies and fuel efficient
systems
are
increasingly relevant.
However, these solutions need to be
practical for Indian conditions, where
machines often operate for long hours
and in challenging environments.
The Rental Industry Must Be at the
Centre
From my perspective as someone
associated closely with the construc-
tion equipment rental industry, one of
the most important conversations at
bauma CONEXPO INDIA should be
the OEM rental company relationship.
Rental companies are among the larg-
est and most important buyer and user
segments of construction equipment.
Therefore, the relationship between an
OEM and a rental company should not
end with the sale of a machine. It
should become a long term partnership
throughout the equipment lifecycle.
For a rental company, utilisation is the
foundation of the business. An idle
machine means lost revenue, while
downtime caused by lack of spare
parts or delayed service can signifi-
cantly affect profitability.
OEMs can play a much larger role by
supporting rental companies in de-
ploying idle equipment, understanding
different applications, providing ap-
propriate warranty structures and
ensuring strong after sales support.
Availability of spare parts, trained
technicians, remote diagnostics and
faster breakdown response are equally
important.
At the same time, rental companies
can provide OEMs with valuable real-
world feedback about machine perfor-
mance, operator behaviour, applica-
tions, maintenance requirements and
customer expectations.
The future should be one where OEMs
and rental companies move hand in
hand with the common objective of
maximising uptime, productivity and
customer value.
Look Beyond the Purchase Price
Another area I will be closely observ-
ing at the exhibition is the total cost of
ownership.

The cheapest machine to purchase is
not necessarily the most economical
machine. Fuel consumption, mainte-
nance, spare parts, downtime, operator
requirements, warranty, financing, re-
sale value and lifecycle cost all deter-
mine whether a machine becomes a
successful business asset.
For rental companies in particular, re-
liability, versatility, high utilisation
and residual value are critical factors
in equipment selection.
I would therefore like manufacturers
to increasingly communicate the com-
plete business proposition of their
equipment rather than focusing only
on specifications.
Technology Must Work for India
India needs global technology, but
it also needs technology adapted to
Indian realities.
Construction
equipment
must
be
rugged, easy to maintain and capable
of operating efficiently across differ-
ent terrains, climates, applications and
project conditions. Localisation of
components, service networks and
spare-parts availability will play a
major role in making advanced
technologies commercially successful.
I also expect bauma CONEXPO
INDIA to showcase the growing
capabilities of Indian manufacturers
and
component
suppliers.
Indian
engineering and manufacturing have
progressed considerably, and there is a
significant opportunity for Indian
companies to develop products not
only for the domestic market but also
for global markets.
A Platform for Business Growth
The real strength of bauma CONEX-
PO INDIA is that it brings the com-
plete ecosystem together OEMs, rental
companies, contractors, infrastructure
developers, component manufactur-
ers, technology providers, financiers
and service organisations.
For manufacturers, it is an opportunity
to demonstrate products directly to
decision-makers. For rental compa-
nies and contractors, it provides an
opportunity to compare technologies,
evaluate new equipment, meet OEMs,
explore partnerships and understand
future market trends.
More importantly, exhibitions like
bauma create conversations that can
eventually become business relation-
ships, technology partnerships and
new opportunities.
The Way Forward
The construction equipment industry
now needs greater collaboration acro-
ss the entire ecosystem. We need
machines that provide higher produc-
tivity, lower operating costs, stronger
residual values and better uptime. We
need financing solutions that under-
stand the economics of equipment
ownership and rental. And we need
technology that solves real problems
rather than simply adding features.
My expectation from bauma CONEX-
PO INDIA 2026 is therefore very clear
:the focus should move from machines
as products to machines as complete
business solutions.
The exhibition can provide the indus-
try with the technology, partnerships
and ideas required for its next phase of
growth. If OEMs listen closely to
customers and rental companies, and
the industry remains open to innova-
tion and collaboration, bauma CON-
EXPO INDIA 2026 can become a
catalyst for the next chapter of India’s
construction and infrastructure story.
The future of construction will be built
not only with better machines, but
through better collaboration between
the people and businesses that use,
manufacture, finance and support
them. I
